DOOMSDAY TATTOO

910 SAN PEDRO AVE.

SAN ANTONIO, TX

Hi im ryan,

Oh Christ… another origin story… I’ll try to make it quick… yeah we know punk rock and skating…

Anyway…I started tattooing in San Antonio tx 15 years ago and through those years my love for this craft has only grown. Through ups and downs triumph and adversity, tattooing has been one of the only constants in my life. The glue that holds me together even if it might seem that everything else is chaotic or unstable. The motivation to push through and a metric by which to measure myself.

In that time I’ve had the privilege of working at some of San Antonio’s most respected and longstanding shops along side some of the cities best artists. Those shops include Calaveras tattoo, Fortune Brothers Tattoo co., Element Tattoo and currently Doomsday Tattoo. Each of which has over a decade of service to the community. I’ve also sat in and done guest spots at other shops all over Texas, and other cities such as Philadelphia, Las Angeles, Denver, and more.

I consider myself extremely fortunate to not only be able to make a living, but have built a life around something I’m so truly passionate about. Something that has provided so much for me including the relationships without whom I would not be where I am today. “Without people you’re nothing…”

It’s with this understanding that I approach tattooing. My goal everyday is simply to give you the best tattoo I’m capable of. That’s it… Give everybody a tattoo I myself would be happy to wear and treat them how I would want to be through the process. No ego or “tattitude” just good tattoos.

I’ve spent the last 15 years of my life driven by one desire to sharpen my skill set. I’m constantly pushing myself to grow and evolve in an industry that is growing and evolving at the same time. I do so in an effort to earn a place among so many talented artists who continually inspire me. I hope my work is a reflection of that.

I’ve often described my particular style of tattooing as “progressive tradition”. It uses the tried and true formulas of generations of tattooers before me out of an abundance of respect for those tattooers, while adding a bit more depth, texture, and detail. I believe as folk artists it’s our job to take what has already been created and put our own stamp or voice on it.

If you’re looking for a tattooer with thousands of tattoos under their belt whose intention is to not only meet but exceed your expectations, then I invite you to reach out. Let’s get you that bitchin tattoo you’ve been thinking about and let’s become best buds along the way! I look forward to working with you… and if you read all that, thanks a bunch.
